amazing

shes so little!just hanging out!Last weekend my older brother Juan (23) took my friend russ and I as well as a few of his buddies up to my families house in the mountains, commonly refered to as “El Campo”. it is in Río Grande Argentina, and only about a two hour drive from our home in Córdoba. it was phenomenal.  We were in the “Sierras” which are the mountains, and we got to explore, hike, made an awsome asado (10 kilos of meat for 6 guys..awesome) and just relaxed up there. when the sun was up and out it was nice enough for short sleeves and jeans, but at night, we had no electricity or running water, and it got really really cold and windy, so we all wore about 5 layers to keepwarm and didnt stray to far from the fire.

this weekend has been awesome. Friday classes went really well and i really liked them and the weather was beautiful. friday night we had an asado at our house and it was a blast. today, as soon as i woke up i got a guitar, and went outside to sit in the sun and play. today was just awesome. it was one of those days that just sneaks up on you, you dont konw how great it will be and then it is.  After stting outside with Juan and Jero (my two brothers)and the grandpa, my dad, Jero, shino and i startedto clean the quincho (the big back room thatwe use for asados/parties). it was so fun. We just blasted Frank Sinatra, and cleaned everything. the weather was beautiful. i was out in just some gym shorts, and then jero and i played some one on one soccer, and we just relaxed all day long. then we went for some ice cream, and now its about 7pm, and just about nap time. Today was just amazing. i wish i could put into words how fun it was jsut to hang out with my little brother, shino (the japanese exchange student that also lives in our house) and our dad. it was a blast.

well, i think im going to head out, relax a little more and read and keep enjoying the wonderful day! hope all is well with everyone. i will try and figure out the picture thing this week…

I have finally caught up with your adventures. In the summer I go into brain dead mode and can’t seem to get anything done. Now that I am back in grad school, full time teaching and parenting, I can get back to real life.

Thank you for sharing all of your experiences. You are quite amazing for venturing out and doing what you do. Your family sounds wonderful and really offering you a warm and rich environment.

I will be looking forward to seeing and reading more about “Julians Great Adventures”.

    Love-Aunty Nanette
